Chain Poem

Pride’s Face

Collaboratively Written By: Prunella Nadler, Linda Sims Lang, Stacey Williams, Tracy Shults-Wright, & Armistead Lindsey

Pride wears a newly bitter face
Thin lips pursed, eyes fixed, devoid of grace
My wretched life I've wanted to erase..
It didn't look like me. Or talked like me
Then I read about the fall of Satan and it I am
how now is it that I found myself buried in this existential scam?
Depleted of moral funds without spending sin
Just staring stubbornness in it's blindest eye
Refusing to accept I am formed of my own ruin
Damning the maker forced upon me
