#2

By Prunella Nadler

She raised her heavy lidded eyes
To the mourners great surprise
Who would be told,notified
They bled her out
Were sure she died

The sun was strobing
All over the globe
Trees trapped,being slaughtered
Humans not told
As the wolves fight
Lies continued

Did they burn you
Can you hear
The shrieking of the birds
Deer hiding in the woods
My son stumbled upon them
Frightened him good

We may not come back
Or you won't be sure
What in a past life
You may have endured
