Two pictures on the shelf Just we two Me and you Taken when we were young We're older now But we're not done Love doesn't come just when you're young It can come anytime And ours has just begun We learned some things along the way Like don't just work Learn to play Don't take anything for granted Appreciate everything Stay in one spot Means staying the same That would drive me insane Branch out and squeeze life For what it's worth Don't just exist on this earth Show life what you want it to be Do that and you will see It will comply Most readily Grab the brass ring Give it a tug Don't be shy Fall in love You know what I'm talkin' about Don't just whisper Give it a shout Use every crayon in the box Mix some colors Give it a shot Make new vista's with your crayons Stagnant is not where you belong And when the sun finally sets And you look back On your accomplishments You'll be very surprised to see All the beautiful artistry Maybe not a Rembrandt or Van Gogh But a masterpiece to show Listen my friends To my words Take them to heart And you will concur Life is for living And living it well Will you do it Only time will tell
