The Great Fall of a Lizard

By Chigozie Emmanuel Okonkwo

    Furu-u-u- ukpe!
       A great fall is made
A spell of silence of confusion follows,
    And no one gives a hand
    But, a gentle look round;
 Yet, no one cares, no one is interested
      Then, a nod of the head
        Yes in self-praise;
    For, if no one praise me,
      I should praise myself,
 'Cause only few fall from such height
       Without kissing death
     Furu-u-u-u- ukpe!
         After a great fall,
  A big move can still be made.
